The cards here below come 3 different Chinese decks, that were published to celebrate the New (Chinese) Year in 2008. The complex center design at first glance makes them look like cards from the international pattern, but, although one would expect the pattern on the courts, these designs are on the Aces! And....... the heads have been exchanged for those of the animals that make the Chinese horoscope and which are the symbolic animal for certain years in the Chinese calendar.

We're not sure if it has any meaning at all, but the Ox, Tiger, Dragon and Snake are set in the designs of a King, the Rat, Hare, Ram and Rooster in the designs of a Queen and the Horse, Monkey, Dog and Pig in the designs of a Jack.

There will be a new update as soon as we have gathered enough of these "anomalies" again to fill another 5 pages here, but as we don't expect to have found those before New Year or even Chinese New Year, we'll leave you with these cards as a HAPPY NEW YEAR wish!
