- THE INTERNATIONAL PATTERN & ITS ANOMALIES -

The following deck was also printed in China and published there too. It's an odd deck and we don't anything about it. It's probably used for a special game, as there are 5 suitcolours. There are 3 court cards in each suit and they all have the same design. The used indices are R, O and C, but we have no idea where they stand for. Some cards have a Chinese caption along the side. They definitely show a complex center design and therefore has -at first glance- the right looks, but here the courts show the same Chinese figures in each suit.
The deck consists of 60 cards and has 5 suits. There were no jokers. Although the deck came with an instruction leaflet, we can't tell if the deck is complete or not: the text is in Chinese.

The next deck was printed in the US in 2004 and published by Smirk&Dagger Games as "Dead Hand Chaos Poker". The courts only show 6 different designs. Each is repeated once in another suit. The actual design of the card has been placed against a black background with a skull on the top and bottom. Although they are done as drawings in tones of gray and there's hardly any complex center design, we do have a one-eyed Jack of Spades and a suicidal Kings of Hearts
The deck consists of 52 cards, 2 jokers and 6 extra cards |
