When
I first saw this deck in 2008, I was immediately attracted by the style and
technique of the designs and I still am. It also always reminds me of Han
Janssen (and his wife Toos), from who I bought it at that occasion. Two lovely
and kind personalities.
So
today's lockdown deck: a non-standard variation of the Bohemian pattern, printed
by the Obchodni Tiskarny Kolin (OTK) from Prague and published as
"Single-headed Folk Playing Cards", a costumes and folk art deck from former Czechoslovakia,
1950's. The artist was J. Kušička.
