Today's lockdown deck was among the first decks that were produced by Dondorf around 1858. However, of the "Vier Weltreiche" (Four World Empires) deck 3 variations are known and this deck is from the 3rd. It was printed in chromolithography and published as Whist Nr 272 in the 1880's, according to the tax stamp on the AH.
