April 14
On very tedious days during this lockdown I surround myself with music (thank you, Spotify) most of the time, although not the Walses and Polka's from this deck in the lockdown series. It was lithographically printed by Maximilian Frommann from Darmstadt and published as "Musikalische Zauberkarte" (musical magic cards) around 1870. The deck consists of 32 cards, only the courts are illustrated. Unfortunately one of the previous owners had glued them on a background, so most of the backs have some damage. Still, a happy bunch of musicians to brighten your day.
COMMENT:
José Luiz Pagliari: it
was also distributed in Brazil by a publishing company, Livraria Universal.
