For today I have the National Kortet in the lockdown series. The deck was printed in fine chromolithography and published by S. Salomon from Copenhagen. There have been several editions. This one dates from around 1925. Kings and Queens show Danish royalty. Plain aces. The deck was designed by H.V. Vestergard.

Note that the maker printed his name on the JC with (deliberate) shadowing. Never seen that before!

Last scan shows why I still consider chromolithography a great printing technique. Even 4 times enlarged it leaves a nice pointillistic portrait.
