AN INDIAN COPY

DO THESE CARDS LOOK FAMILIAR.....OR NOT?
This deck has 52 cards and 2 jokers. It
was published in 1986 in India by the Arkay Playing Card Co. from Bombay as
"Arabian Nights". The original
designs by Klaus Villiger have been copied exactly, but all the colours of the
model's garments have been replaced by a different set of colours.
Not only the colours have changed, the designs have been placed in
different suits and with different numbers and indices. Of course the signature
of Klaus Villiger has been left out and the German company logo
"Joker" too. But....the designs were not "censured". The
poses were copied exactly: no other bodyparts were covered and no details were added
to the designs, except on the joker.

Because the differences make it interesting to compare the decks card by card, we offer this possibility here below. The suits from the original deck are shown and the similar cards from the Indian deck to compare.
