HANAFUDA
-6-
The design of the cards has kept the oriental atmosphere. The odd suitcolours, together with the absence of indices, make the deck difficult to use for our 52 card games. And, although I'm not a Hanafuda player, I can imagine that they too will have to look twice at some of the cards.

THIRTEENTH SUIT Red Dragon
The cards from the Red Dragon suit do not have a value in points, as they are not used in the Hanafuda game. The last card is numbered and signed by the artist. | ||||||
The joker shows a winged dragon that bears a strong resemblance to the logo that was used by the German cardmaker Bernard Dondorf. |
The back is covered with the same material, that is used to cover the carton folder and the box. |
