The following deck was hand-made by a Dutch artist, Chris Riechelman, and published by him in a limited and numbered edition of 16 copies in 1988. In this deck the artist, who died in 2004, also combines the original 48 cards deck with the 52 cards deck that we use for our games, but without using the French suitcolours or indices.
For the 4 suits the artist used symbols that refer to the art of archery: targets, bows, arrows and gloves. The card denominations can be found by counting the number of depicted targets (target suit), arrows (arrow suit) or flowers (bow suit). In the glove suit the leather strap of the glove forms numbers -some 'mirrored"- to indicate the card denomination.
