For comparison the bottom side of each card has been selected, rotated 180 degrees and placed back.

In most double imaged decks, the designs are exactly the same on each side of the card. What does appear in some vintage or antique decks, is that the color scheme has been switched: the blue on one side will be replaced by red and v.v.
It's clear that in this deck not only colors have been switched or altered, but in most cases also details in the design. And of course the heads may look alike, but each is different and 3 of the 4 kings gaze in the opposite direction. The overall impression at first glance of a double imaged deck is probably due to the fact that the images of the queens and jacks look very much alike and the heads are pointed in the same direction too.
