GAMES & QUARTETS

K-10

AMBACHT KWARTET
(Craft Quartet)

-1-

The deck was printed by SN in lithography in 1943/1944.
The deck of 48 cards, measuring 60 x 100 mm., and a rule card was published by Blazer & Metz in an edition of ca. 14.000 copies.

There are 12 quartets. Each shows a different craftsman, with his tools or products.

The design of the cards bears close resemblance to that of the "Boerderij" quartet (K-11), so it's safe to assume that it was the same artist who did the designs. Also the backs are the same for both quartets. They show a figure called "Moor" and the rule card gives instructions for playing the "Moor Quartet game". However, on the box the quartet is titled "Ambachten" (see page 3).

The number "K 205"on the top flap of the box was obligated during the german occupation in WW II. It served to identify the makers of the printed matter.
