I received a question about a joker today and after answering it, it wasn't hard to choose today's lockdown deck. Se here's the Philips Arlita advertising deck, printed by Mesmaekers Frères S.A. from Turnhout, Belgium, around 1925. Kings and jacks have the same straight line basic design, but the queens all have a different more curvy design with a dash of Art Deco. Note the way the small pips are integrated in the large ones on the courts. Apparently the deck was made for the Walloon market, as all the indices and texts are in French. Only the (highly collectable) joker is bilingual. I haven't seen a deck with Dutch indices yet, but maybe they do exist. The deck consists of 52 cards and 1 joker.
