By 1930 the Vereinigte Stralsunder Spielkartenfabriken AG had become one of the biggest playing card manufacturers in Germany. Today's lockdown deck was made by them in 1925. It's an advertising deck for DEMAG, a manufacturer of heavy machinery and tools. The courts show their products, some with mild humor in the designs. The deck consists of 32 cards. To mark that on the sheets, we add the 7 of clubs to the courts and aces in the sheet.
Maker's name is on the 9 of spades. Not pictured here, because I choose the decks from the sheets in our holders and don't go looking for the boxes with the rest of the cards. When I turn this lockdown series into an xpo on my site, I will add all relevant pip cards then.
