A little late today, but there were 52 cards to scan. A transformation deck this time, of which I have only shown 2 cards on my site yet. They were used to compare with cards from another transformation deck (see Deck of the Month October 2017: deck-month-17 and press 10).
Today's deck was printed as sheets by C.R. Schurich from Munich and published by Braun & Schneider in 1852. The sheets were published in several languages. Our deck was made from the sheets in Dutch, of course. A previous owner had cut the cards from the sheets and mounted them on card. The cutting wasn't done very accurately, so there are differences in size. On a number of cards the small initials J B have been printed in the corner. Probably the artist's initials.
